Room 213
I like teaching students in the junior high because I enjoy helping them take what they have learned over the past years and bringing it to a higher level. The family here at Mary, Seat of Wisdom is great. All the students, parents, teachers and staff have really helped me feel at home. It is great to see a strong community behind the students, encouraging them to always try their best.
BACKGROUND & EDUCATION
I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with my Bachelors in Elementary Education in 2005. In the summer of 2008 I received my Master in Reading from Concordia University. I look forward to taking additional classes to keep up to date on the latest in education.
YEARS OF TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching since 2005. I was pleased to join the Mary, Seat of Wisdom community in 2007. During my first year, I taught junior high science and was then offered a position with the fifth grade team for the next four years. In the 2012-2013 school year, I moved into junior high where I teach different sections of composition and literature.
HOBBIES & INTERESTS
One of my favorite hobbies is reading and I enjoy reading all types of books. I also enjoy finding new books to add to my classroom library. My two favorite sports teams are the Cubs and the Packers. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
